I was reading some of the old threads and I came across a thread that said that someone found GWEN in the Underworld.

There never was a screen shot and the moderator had closed the thread after 7 pages of rantings about the truth of the finding.

So nearly 3 years later the question remains:

Has anyone found GWEN in the underworld. Is her mother still there.

I would go and check this out myself but with the new computer that I got *caught* vista *junk* *crap drivers* I can not get to several areas of GW any more including CoF and CTS and the underword.

So is she there or not? Please post SS's if you see her.

Ho yeah I remember that.
IIRC there was no screenshot of her actually found in the UW. There was a rumor about her appearing when some items were collected and given to her mother.

Gwen was never in the Underworld - it was just a rumour about her appearing after clearing the place out. Her mother is still there though, and if you take adult Gwen (after getting her from EotN as a hero) into the Underworld, a long conversation will play out between Gwen and her mother.

As far as I can remember, it was a rumor as well. They put Gwen in EotN in part to tell everyone what happened to her and wrap that part of the story up.

It was a rumor started by a beta event I believe.

There was a video of it on guru, I believe, give me a few minutes to look around for it.

edit: found the video but It was removed from guru, so no luck here.

never heard of of this before...

probably a ghost if they thought they saw her. some ghosts might have used the same skip along and wander animation

It was a rumor, Gwen was never found in UW.

Rumor, nothing more. The only time Gwen is in the UW is if you bring her as one of your heroes. That was not possible in 2005, of course. Gwen's mother is in the very first chamber, and if you talk to her with Gwen in your party, there is some additional dialogue.

I remember a few other rumors about UW, like the UW armor crafter and the mysterious door that opens if you complete all the quests and/or kill all the foes. Then there was the Terror Shield hoax, where someone modified their client to overlay an imposing visage from the Isle of the Dead Guild Hall onto a Tower Shield. They then claimed that shield could drop from the Terrorweb Dryders or the Queen in the Spawning Pools. My guild did several voyages down there looking for that. All of those rumors were false.

There is no Gwen in UW. Never was, etc blah.

Although if you take the hero Gwen there, there's a cool thing. And by cool thing, I mean huge long boring speech that would waste your time and leave you bitter.

He caps locked Gwen because he went looking for GW:EN in the Underworld. To later realize there is no Walmart down there.

Well caps locking GWEN refers to the NPC GWEN that can be found not to be confused with GW:EN or Gwen or Gwen the Charr Slayer.

So GWEN is not to be found in the underworld. Sad very sad. Well at least we know that she lived for a while
